Kristen For Chanel Beauty

Kristen Stewart - she of the eternal smoky eye - has been named the new face of Chanel Make-up, joining Gisele Bundchen, who fronts the Les Beiges campaigns, and Keira Knightley, who is the face of Rouge Coco lipsticks. The actress's first campaign will aptly be for an eye make-up campaign - due to launch next month and shot by Mario Testino, who photographed her for the cover of Vogue's October 2012 issue at the peak of her Twilight fame. According to the fashion house, the campaign sees Stewart appear in "a series of portraits embodying various facets of the contemporary Chanel woman".
Stewart has long been a favourite of Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, being selected to front both the 2013 Métiers d'Art Paris-Dallas and 2016 Métiers d'Art Paris in Rome campaigns and posing for the spring/summer 2015 eyewear advertising last year. She has since been a regular fixture at Chanel shows both in Paris and internationally for Métiers d'Art, and starred in a short film, Once and Forever, by Karl Lagerfeld last year.
This isn't the actress's first foray into the beauty industry either - in 2012 she was named the face of Balenciaga's Florabotanica fragrance, whilst Nicolas Ghesquière was at the house's helm. Stewart has four films scheduled for release this year, including an as-yet-untitled Woody Allen film and Ang Lee's Iraq war drama Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk.
